Welcome to the flight deck, Commander. This official manual covers flight physics, sub-space ordnance, 1993 Privateer acoustic telemetry, planetary mining operations, and combat tactics for the Chimera Ironclad Heavy Interceptor (Wingless Armored Hull).
Deploy through Sector 0,0,0 into uncharted deep space. Extract raw minerals, eliminate hostile pirate wings, cash in priority green bounty tickets, and reach MK-Max hardware specifications across all six ship modules.
Turn pages via the bottom binder controls, the bottom-right dog-ear fold, or pressing Left/Right Arrow keys. Every chapter is formatted to fit on screen without vertical scrolling.
Tap any tactical chapter below to flip immediately to that section:
• Wingless Lifting Body: Eliminates fragile wing spars in favor of reinforced hull plating and high-output vertical maneuvering thrusters.
• Port Engine Nacelle: Industrial turbine nacelle with dual vector nozzles, thermal radiator louvers, and port red navigation strobe.
• Starboard Bridge: Armored brow overhang, recessed angled visor, and starboard green navigation beacon.
• Dorsal Turret Mount: Centered dual-barrel plasma battery with cyan sensor optic.
• Stern Boarding Ramp: Flared hydraulic boarding ramp with stair rungs and chasing green LED runway approach lights.
Heavy forward sponson cannons and dorsal turrets alternate fire. Delivers 18 base plasma damage per bolt at high cadence with muzzle flash illumination across the canopy visor.
Chassis ordnance bays house a 6-cartridge self-guided micro-missile rack. Missiles lock onto target coordinates, accelerating at 460 m/s with smoke trails. Restocked upon Starbase docking.
The nose-mounted magnetic projector locks onto drifting salvage crates and mineral pods up to 240 meters away with a 4.5Hz hum, reeling them into the collection scoop.
Features dynamic compressor whine and combustion rumble. Turbine pitch modulates upward during forward acceleration and transitions to a low rumble during retro-braking.
Double-tapping the 360° radar screen opens the Galaxy Star Map. The radar filters out planetary clutter to focus strictly on high-value targets: Starbases, Salvage Pods, Derelicts, and Hostiles.
Auto-locks contacts in front of the starfighter with a 1993 Sound Blaster ITTS chirp. Displays wireframe projections, shield status, target range, and touchdown envelopes.
Monitors Shield Matrix (blue), armored Hull bulkheads (green/red), and the 6-cell micro-missile cartridge rack with live warhead status indicators.
Edge-of-screen chevrons track hostiles only. Flashes strobe yellow when enemies actively fire laser bursts. Stronghold fortresses are flagged with lime markers.
Hanging from the canopy arch are Fluoro Pink (5-pip) & Fluoro Green (3-pip) fuzzy dice. They respond dynamically to:
• Yaw & Pitch Inputs: Swings under flight g-forces.
• Afterburner Burn: Pulls directly back toward the seat.
• Hyperdrive Jumps: Rapid resonant vibration and drag.
• Direct Touch Squeeze: Tapping them directly triggers a rubber squeak!
Collapses secondary options into a single ☰ MENU modal:
• [M] Galaxy Star Map: Instant holographic cartography.
• [MAP] Controller & CRT: Button binding and shader modes.
• [ON/OFF] BGM Audio: Background music toggle.
Ballistic hits breach the cockpit glass:
• Above 55% Hull: Flawless anti-glare canopy.
• Below 55% Hull: Hairline fracture splits across the port visor.
• Below 25% Hull: Spiderweb fracture shatters starboard glass with emergency red cabin strobe lighting.
Upon planetary touchdown, telemetry swaps to spacesuit readouts:
• HULL bar swaps to SUIT HP life support.
• FUEL gauge swaps to distance to SHIP airlock and OUTPOST beacon.
Zero-scroll direct binding cards for all flight steering and primary ordnance:
Context actions automatically adapt between flight, docking, and exploration modes:
Press M, open the Cockpit Menu, or double-tap the center radar screen to project the 2D interactive Galaxy Astro-Cartography Grid.
Hostile strongholds spawn on coordinate grid multiples of 12 (e.g. [12,12], [-12,12]). Active strongholds project a red zone of control across their territory. Destroying the fortress turns the entire zone into a permanent green Safe Zone (✓)!
Every quadrant across the 1500-meter sector grid generates deterministically from the galaxy seed. Sectors remain charted once discovered, allowing pilots to plan trade routes.
The sidebar computer calculates direct line-of-sight distance in meters and estimates the number of 350% hyperdrive warp bursts required to reach the selected sector.
Instantly center the holographic nav-grid onto your starfighter position or jump directly to the Sol-Prime Core coordinates [0, 0] with one touch.
Selecting LOCK NAV WAYPOINT on any sector sets an active target beacon. While flying in deep space, a yellow holographic HUD diamond displays target name, range, and estimated warp bursts.
When the locked sector is outside your cockpit canopy view, directional edge chevrons guide your flight vector until the starfighter nose aligns with the target.
Once you arrive within 280 meters of the waypoint coordinates, the guidance computer chimes with a confirmation tone and clears the waypoint.
Hyperdrive warp bursts accelerate the vessel directly along the nose heading vector, covering vast distances toward locked waypoints in seconds.
Starbases and Surface Outpost Terminals allow pilots to install military-grade upgrades across six core ship modules:
| MODULE | TIERS | PROGRESSION SPECIFICATION | COST PROGRESSION |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mining Laser Array | MK 1–7 | Surface mining cut rate: 3.5 ➔ 16.7 chunks/s | $250 ➔ $22,000 |
| Spacesuit Hold | MK 1–7 | Mineral containment hold: 20 ➔ 200 Units | $200 ➔ $18,000 |
| Ion Thrusters | MK 1–7 | Top cruising flight speed: 135 ➔ 285 KPS | $380 ➔ $29,000 |
| Shield Matrix | MK 1–7 | Deflector capacity: 40 ➔ 190 Barrier HP | $420 ➔ $30,000 |
| Armor Plating | MK 1–7 | Reinforced bulkheads: 100 ➔ 280 Hull HP | $350 ➔ $27,000 |
| Aux Fuel Cell | MK 1–7 | Hyperdrive warp reserves: 250 ➔ 460 Fuel Units | $300 ➔ $24,000 |
Reaching MK-Max across all six modules signals the Confed fleet boundary and provokes the Alien Mothership Dreadnought into warping directly into your sector!
Orbital Starbases evaluate cargo prices based on local abundance (0.8x to 1.8x multiplier). Surface Outposts always grant a guaranteed +20% valuation bonus for ore mined on that world!
Defeating priority Green Sector Warlords awards an official Bounty Ticket. Terminals instantly cash in all accumulated tickets at $1,000 Credits each.
Terminals provide immediate bulkhead armor welding and life support replenishment. In surface mode, repairs restore spacesuit life support and barrier shields.
Replenish deep-space hyperdrive cells at Starbase depots. Always top off fuel before jumping into hostile sectors.
Home World (Sector 0,0,0): Earth-like temperate garden world featuring royal blue oceans, cumulus cloud cover, rich mountain soil, and alternating Iron/Titanium nodes (+30% domestic refinery tariff at Outpost Alpha).
The Depletion Trigger: If a pilot mines out every single mineral vein across a planet, the total extraction of the crystalline magnetic lattice destabilizes the core, triggering an unstoppable runaway implosion!
Ground Evacuation Sirens: Sirens wail across the horizon, the ground heaves violently under mounting tremors, and an alarm pulses. Pilots have exactly 60 seconds to reach their landed ship airlock and initiate takeoff. Failing to reach orbit in time results in total pilot and vessel destruction.
Upon boarding and launching into orbit, the departure computer positions the vessel at safe standoff range (220m out) and automatically faces the doomed world during a 5-second countdown.
The world violently obliterates in a 140-particle shockwave ring visible through the canopy! Leaves behind 6x dense residual ore chunks and a +$800 salvage cache.
Pirate Ambush Squadrons: Entering hostile sectors triggers 3-to-6 ship pirate wings attacking in synchronized flight formations that rotate dynamically every 5–8 seconds: Wedge (V-Formation), Diamond (Ring), Wall (Line), and Echelon (Staircase).
Standard pirate raider. Weaves in dogfights at standoff distances (200m–400m); drops credits & crystals. Engages 124 BPM synth combat audio.
Heavy green ace. Paces at long range (400m–700m). Defeating it awards a +$1,000 Green Bounty Ticket redeemable at Starbase terminals.
Automated surface hover drone. Patrols crystal veins and fires suppression bolts. Mining laser lock yields +$150 salvage.
Armored bipedal walker. Charges and fires massive Plasma Diamonds (185 DMG!). Backpedals if approached.
Spawns at grid multiples of 12. Defended by 6 perimeter flak turrets (<1000m range). Obliterating its core awards +$2,500 Credits, ejects 4 contraband pods ($625 each), and permanently liberates its entire zone of control into a safe zone!
Warps in when all 6 modules reach MK-Max (136 BPM music). Features a 5s weapon charge window ("EVADE!"), alternating heavy dual plasma, and a +$5,000 Victory Bounty!
Thermal burn zone <360m; vaporization <105m. Steer clear of the system core star!
Warp jumps accelerate 350% across sectors (15 Fuel), emitting a sub-bass Doppler sonic boom.
